🎬 Plex Media Server Setup Guides

1. How to Set Up Plex

  1. Step 1: Install Plex on one of the supported devices:
    • Smart TV
    • Android TV
    • Firestick
    • Roku
    • Xbox
    • PlayStation
  2. Step 2: Click Sign In — a 4-digit PIN code will be displayed.
    Send the code to @Wizard1888.
  3. Step 3: Once added to the server, press OK, then Continue until you reach the main page.

2. Mandatory Settings

  1. Go to Settings → General → Device Name (Friendly Name).
  2. Rename your device to YOUR NAME + TODAY'S DATE (e.g., John 07/04/24).
    ⚠️ Failure to do this will result in removal from the server.
  3. Set Video Quality to Max or Original.
  4. Set Remote Streaming Quality to Max or Original.

3. Troubleshooting & Quality Settings

  1. If you encounter issues, remember there are two servers. If one is down, switch to the other.
    ❌ Do not message the admin about server outages.
  2. Check your quality settings:
    • Video Quality: Max or Original
    • Remote Streaming Quality: Max or Original
    • Audio Quality: Original
    • Advanced Settings: H264 Level set to 5.2
    • Auto Adjust Quality: OFF

4. Important Note

  1. ⚠️ Do not create your own Plex account.
  2. Rename your device to your name + today’s date (e.g., John 07/04/24). Failure to do this = removal from server.
  3. Streaming in 4K requires a 4K device and very fast internet.
